Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Women, Asst. Prof. Dr. Athmar Shaker Majeed Al-Shatri, and under the supervision of the Head of the Continuing Education Unit, Prof. Saba Hassan Abd Ali, the unit held the training workshop tagged: ((Breaking Barriers: Enhancing Community Awareness to Support Addicts and Encourage Them to Recover Without Fear)), Wednesday, 26/3/2025, and at the Continuing Education Hall in the College of Education for Women, in which each of the following lectured: Head of the Continuing Education Unit, Asst. Prof. Saba Hassan Abd Ali, and Asst. Inst. Rua’a Jaafar Hussein, attended by a group of college students.
The training workshop aims to find out the following:
1- How to overcome addiction.
2- How to improve mental health.
3- How to improve social relations.
4- Increase self-confidence.
The workshop reached a set of recommendations, the most important of which are:
1- Providing psychological support to help them overcome addiction.
2- Providing medical treatment to get rid of addiction
3- Providing rehabilitation programs to help them overcome addiction.
